Host Sri Lanka will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on England in the opening game of series in Galle, starting from Tuesday.
Sri Lanka are currently lying at seventh position in the ICC Test Championship and will be looking to improve their standings On the other hand, England are placed at fourth position with eight victories and three losses.

In the batting department, the onus will be on the likes of Dimuth Karunaratne, Angelo Matthews and Dinesh Chandimal to deliver the bulk of the runs.
In the recently concluded series, Dimuth Karunaratne showcased excellent form and finished with 133 runs at an average of 33.25. Left-hander will be looking to lead from the front and put in notable scores for Sri Lanka.
Karunaratne’s opening partner, Kusal Perera, also flourished in his new role as the opener. Swashbuckling batsman put in decent performances with the bat in the two-match series against South Africa.
Runs will be needed from the likes of Lahiru Thiramanne, Kusal Mendis and Dasun Shanaka, who did not do much in the previous series against South Africa.
Leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga made a decent impression with the bat and ball in his debut series in South Africa. He will be looking to impact with the ball in hand as pitches in Sri Lanka provide assistance to the spinners.
Left-arm orthodox spinner Lasith Embuldeniya and off-spinner Dilruwan Perera might be considered for selection for the first game of the series. Kasun Rajitha and Lahiru Kumara will not be considered as home side might go with Suranga Lakmal and Vishwa Fernando will be two pace options for Galle Test.
